- Operate and maintain all mechanical systems on campus, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and HVAC systems.
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and develop solutions to repair or replace faulty components.
- Monitor and adjust controls and settings to maintain efficient and effective operation of equipment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, as well as equipment performance and any potential issues.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure timely and effective resolution of mechanical problems.
- Comply with all safety and regulatory standards, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices, and implement new technologies and techniques as appropriate.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, and provide guidance and support to other team members.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and perform duties as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and represent Temple University with integrity and dedication.
- Attend meetings and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors to provide updates, discuss potential issues, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Adhere to the university's mission, values, and policies, and promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Stationary Engineer In A Large Commercial Or Institutional Setting.
Possess A Valid Stationary Engineer License For The State Of Pennsylvania.
Knowledge Of Boilers, Chillers, And Other Mechanical Systems Commonly Found In Large Buildings.
Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, And Technical Manuals.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills To Quickly Identify And Resolve Equipment Malfunctions.
