  1. Provide high-quality legal support to the university's legal team.

  3. Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  4. Assist in the preparation for legal proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions.
  5. Maintain and organize legal files and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  6. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including university staff, faculty, students, and outside counsel.
  7. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations and ensure the university's compliance.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the university to address legal issues and provide guidance.
  9. Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  10. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the legal team.
  11. Train and mentor junior legal assistants and support staff.
  12. Represent the university in a professional manner and uphold its values and standards.
  13. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
  14. Proactively identify potential legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the university's mission and goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Legal Assistant, Preferably In A Higher Education Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Legal Terminology, Procedures, And Documentation.

  • Strong Research And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Synthesize Complex Information.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Attorneys, Faculty, Staff, And Students.
