Welcome to the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Temple University. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Consultant to join our team. This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with small business owners and entrepreneurs, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to achieve their business goals.   1. Provide one-on-one consulting services to small business owners and entrepreneurs.
  2. Develop and implement customized business plans for clients.
  3. Conduct thorough analysis of clients' businesses to identify areas for improvement.
  4. Offer guidance and support to clients in areas such as marketing, finance, operations, and human resources.
  5. Conduct workshops and seminars on various business topics.
  6. Keep up-to-date with current market trends and best practices in entrepreneurship.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure long-term success.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the SBDC team to develop and improve consulting strategies.
  9. Evaluate and track the progress of clients' businesses.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  11. Provide excellent customer service and represent the SBDC and Temple University with integrity.
  12. Act as a liaison between clients and external resources, such as funding agencies and government programs.
  13. Stay informed on available resources and opportunities for small businesses and share with clients.
  14. Attend networking events and actively promote the SBDC and its services.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the consulting services offered by the SBDC.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Business Administration, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Business Consulting, Preferably In A Small Business Development Center Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Business Principles And Practices, Including Financial Analysis, Marketing Strategies, And Business Planning.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Diverse Clients And Stakeholders.

  • Familiarity With The Local Business Community And An Understanding Of The Unique Challenges Faced By Small Businesses In The Temple University Area.
