Job Description

Has a dual role of healthcare provider and administrator. As a healthcare provider, the incumbent will be responsible for direct nursing care to students following established RN protocols and in accordance with professional nursing standards. As an administrator, the incumbent will coordinate the daily operations of the Student Health Services Department; and collaborate with the Assistant Clinical Director regarding medical issues and coverage issues. Coordinating daily operations and ensuring appropriate clinical nursing coverage; hiring and training new nursing staff. The Nurse Manager of Health Service is also responsible for providing outpatient nursing care and first aid primarily to Temple University students.

Job Qualifications
  • At least five years’ of clinical experience

  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred

  • Experience in Student Health Services setting

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an inter-disciplinary team
