  1. Lead and manage the Biology Division at Temple University, overseeing all aspects of the division's operations and ensuring its success in providing a top-notch education and research opportunities to students.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to further the understanding of biological sciences within the division, in line with Temple University's overall goals and objectives.
  3. Recruit, hire, train and evaluate faculty and staff within the division, ensuring a high-quality team that is dedicated to delivering excellence in teaching and research.
  4. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the division, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and the exchange of ideas among faculty, staff, and students.
  5. Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and courses within the division, ensuring they are current, relevant, and aligned with industry standards.
  6. Monitor and assess student progress and academic performance within the division, providing support and guidance as needed to ensure their success.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and divisions within the university to promote interdisciplinary research and learning opportunities for students.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Biology, Biochemistry, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Or Managerial Role, Preferably In A Research Or Academic Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Laboratory Techniques And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Grant Writing And Budget Management.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Faculty, Staff, And Students.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans, As Well As Managing And Evaluating Programs And Initiatives Within A Biology Division.
