Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for collegiate athletics and a strong understanding of the evolving landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights? Do you have a proven track record of securing major gifts and creating successful fundraising campaigns? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Temple University Athletics Department as our Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development & NIL Strategy.In this role, you will be responsible for leading our development efforts and developing a comprehensive NIL strategy for our student-athletes. You will work closely with our Athletic Director and senior leadership team to cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, and other key stakeholders to secure major gifts and support our athletics programs. In addition, you will be at the forefront of navigating the new opportunities and challenges surrounding NIL rights for our student-athletes.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in athletic development, with a strong background in major gift fundraising. You should also have a deep understanding of the current landscape of NIL rights and the ability to develop and execute a strategic plan to support our student-athletes.   1. Develop and execute a comprehensive Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) strategy for the Temple University Athletics Department, in collaboration with the Athletic Director and senior leadership team.
  2. Cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, and other key stakeholders to secure major gifts and support our athletics programs.
  3. Lead the development efforts for the Athletics Department, including creating and implementing successful fundraising campaigns.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the evolving landscape of NIL rights and identify opportunities and challenges for our student-athletes.
  5. Collaborate with various departments and teams within the Athletics Department to ensure alignment and integration of the NIL strategy.
  6. Serve as a strategic advisor to the Athletic Director and senior leadership team on all matters related to NIL rights and fundraising.
  7. Develop and maintain a strong network of potential donors and supporters to enhance the success of our development efforts.
  8. Oversee the management of donor relationships, including stewardship and recognition.
  9. Represent the Athletics Department at events, meetings, and conferences related to fundraising and NIL rights.
  10. Provide regular updates and reports to the Athletic Director and senior leadership team on the progress and impact of the NIL strategy and development efforts.
  11. Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team to promote and showcase the success of our student-athletes and the Athletics Department.
  12. Mentor and manage a team of development staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in securing major gifts.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to fundraising and donor relations.
  14. Act as a liaison between the Athletics Department and the university's development office.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the NIL strategy and development efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Sports Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Athletic Development And Fundraising In A Collegiate Or Professional Setting.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing A Comprehensive Fundraising Strategy, Including Major Gifts, Annual Giving, And Corporate Partnerships.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of The Changing Landscape Of Collegiate Athletics And The Impact Of Nil Legislation On Fundraising And Development Efforts.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Cultivate And Maintain Relationships With Donors, Alumni, And Key Stakeholders.
