Job Description

Responsible for assisting with overall processing and monitoring of all contracts and subcontracts for the University from external sources with a specialization in clinical trials. Facilitating the review and approval of clinical trial agreements as well as material transfer, confidentiality and other research-related agreements. Serving as a reviewing award terms and conditions, and adjusting the Scope of Work and Budget sections of the contract, as required. Securing review and approval from University Counsel for all such documents; working with the Contracts Manager to educate and train Principal Investigators and research personnel on University and Sponsor regulations and guidelines, with emphasis on the contracts management function. Assisting with the development and presentation of training materials.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge of clinical trial, material transfer, industry sponsored research, confidentiality. data use, and other agreements

  • Paralegal experience preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of private, government and nonprofit funding sources

  • Working knowledge of FARS and DFARS regulations.

  • Experience in a non-profit or academic research environment preferred
