- Develop and execute the university's overall communications and content strategy.
- Ensure that all messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with the university's brand.
- Oversee the creation and management of all communications and content, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather information and develop strategic messaging for different audiences.
- Conduct market research and audience analysis to inform communication and content strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications and content strategy.
- Manage a team of communication and content professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and other external partners to enhance the university's visibility and reputation.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication and content strategies, and make adjustments as needed.
- Develop crisis communication plans and serve as a spokesperson for the university in times of crisis.
- Develop and manage the department's budget.
- Represent the university at conferences, events, and other public forums.
- Collaborate with other university leaders to ensure all communications and content align with the university's overall goals and objectives.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the communications and content team.
- Actively contribute to the success and growth of the university by identifying and pursuing new opportunities for communication and content development.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to other team members, promoting professional development and growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to communications and content.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Communications, Content Strategy, And/Or Marketing, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Digital Marketing, Social Media, And Content Creation Strategies.
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Convey Complex Information To Diverse Audiences.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team, As Well As The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Achieve Organizational Goals.
