Job Description

Temple University Athletics is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Men's Tennis coaching staff as an Assistant Coach. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with talented student-athletes and contribute to the continued success and legacy of our program. We are looking for a driven and experienced coach who is committed to fostering a positive and competitive environment for our players.   1. Assist the head coach in all aspects of running the Men's Tennis program, including but not limited to practice planning, game strategy, and player development.
  2. Work closely with student-athletes to provide individualized coaching and guidance to help them reach their full potential both on and off the court.
  3. Conduct individual and team training sessions to improve technical skills, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
  4. Scout and recruit top high school and junior players to join the Temple University Men's Tennis program.
  5. Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to create a cohesive and successful team dynamic.
  6. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing Temple University Athletics at all times.
  7. Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  8. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and strategies in the sport of tennis to continually enhance coaching techniques.
  9. Assist with the planning and execution of team travel, team events, and community service initiatives.
  10. Uphold and promote the values and mission of Temple University Athletics and the Men's Tennis program.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Sports Management, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Or A Related Field.

  • Prior Experience Coaching At The Collegiate Or Professional Level.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of The Rules And Strategies Of The Game Of Tennis.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Guide And Motivate Athletes.

  • Willingness To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Accommodate Team Practice And Competition Schedules.
