  1. Develop and implement strategies to promote the use of narrative medicine in patient care and education at Temple University.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare providers and educators to integrate narrative medicine into their practices and curriculum.
  3. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in narrative medicine.
  4. Organize and lead workshops, seminars, and other educational events to educate faculty, staff, and students on the value and techniques of narrative medicine.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations and community partners to expand the reach and impact of narrative medicine.
  6. Work closely with the marketing and communications department to create and distribute promotional materials and content related to narrative medicine.
  7. Serve as a mentor and resource for students interested in pursuing a career in narrative medicine.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and initiatives related to narrative medicine.
  9. Assist in the selection and training of volunteers and staff for narrative medicine programs and events.
  10. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of narrative medicine programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Participate in professional development opportunities and stay informed on current developments in the field of narrative medicine.
  12. Represent Temple University and the narrative medicine program at conferences, meetings, and other events.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to healthcare and patient confidentiality.
  14. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Narrative Medicine.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Narrative Medicine, English Literature, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Principles And Applications Of Narrative Medicine.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Teams And Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Programs And Initiatives Related To Narrative Medicine.
