- Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students at Temple University.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and various community organizations to foster positive relationships and collaborations.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure diversity and inclusion are integrated into the admissions process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with diverse student organizations and support their initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training and educational programs on diversity and inclusion for staff, faculty, and students.
- Monitor and analyze diversity and inclusion data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for action.
- Represent Temple University at community events and conferences related to diversity and inclusion.
- Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff on diversity and inclusion issues.
- Collaborate with other departments and offices on campus to create a cohesive and comprehensive approach to diversity and inclusion.
- Stay informed and up-to-date on current diversity and equity issues, trends, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and individuals who can support diversity and inclusion efforts at Temple University.
- Support the recruitment and retention of diverse students by participating in recruitment events and providing support to underrepresented students.
- Assist with the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with student affairs and academic departments to support the retention and success of diverse students.
- Serve on committees and task forces related to diversity and inclusion, as needed.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Diversity And Inclusion Issues In Higher Education, Including But Not Limited To Race, Ethnicity, Gender, Sexual Orientation, And Socioeconomic Status.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Diversity And Community Outreach Initiatives, Particularly In The Context Of College Admissions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Students, Faculty, Staff, And Community Partners.
Demonstrated Leadership Experience, With The Ability To Manage And Supervise A Team And Effectively Delegate Tasks.
Familiarity With Admissions Processes And Procedures, As Well As A Commitment To Promoting Equitable Access To Higher Education For All Students.
