  1. Develop and implement strategic communications and marketing plans to enhance the reputation and brand of Temple University.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
  3. Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  4. Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, website content, social media posts, and advertisements.
  5. Manage the university's social media presence and develop engaging and relevant content to attract and engage prospective students, alumni, and other key audiences.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for media relations and proactively pitch newsworthy stories to local, national, and international media outlets.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers to increase positive coverage of the university.
  8. Plan and execute special events, such as open houses, information sessions, and campus tours, to promote Temple University to potential students and their families.
  9. Collaborate with admissions and enrollment teams to develop targeted communication and marketing strategies to attract and retain a diverse student population.
  10. Monitor and track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
  11. Manage a team of communications and marketing professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  12. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in communications and marketing for higher education institutions.
  13. Represent Temple University at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to promote the university and establish partnerships.
  14. Serve as a member of the university's leadership team and contribute to strategic decision-making and planning.
  15. Uphold the university's values of innovation, diversity, and excellence in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Strategic Communications And Marketing, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead A Team And Collaborate With Various Departments Within The University.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Execute Comprehensive Communication Plans.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Current Trends And Best Practices In Digital Marketing, Social Media, And Brand Management.

  • A Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Marketing, Or A Related Field. A Master's Degree Is Preferred.
