Material Planner (Buyer)

TE Connectivity is looking for a motivated and experienced Material Planner (Buyer) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of material and services for projects and operations in a timely and cost-effective manner, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.We’re seeking someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have experience with MRP systems, be highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring competitive rates and delivery times.
2. Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed.
3. Prepare and submit purchase orders and negotiate pricing and terms.
4. Manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
5. Analyze supply and demand trends to ensure a timely and cost-effective procurement process.
6. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
7. Monitor and report on key performance indicators.
8. Support the development and implementation of new strategies and processes.
9. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
10. Maintain up-to-date records of purchases and other related documents.
