Corporate Counsel - IT

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Corporate Counsel - IT to join our Legal team. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented and highly organized, with a deep understanding of IT law and regulations. The ideal candidate will provide counsel on a wide range of legal matters, from structuring complex transactions to providing legal advice on day-to-day operations.To be successful in this role, you must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the IT industry. You must also be able to work independently and be comfortable taking ownership of projects. The ability to think strategically while managing multiple tasks is essential.Required qualifications for this role include a JD from an accredited law school, with at least 5 years of experience in a corporate law firm or in-house legal department. Admitted to the state bar and experience with IT law is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and counsel on a wide range of IT law-related matters.
2. Draft and negotiate complex technology agreements.
3. Research and analyze IT law and regulations.
4. Advise on day-to-day operations and legal compliance.
5. Monitor and assess legal trends and developments in the IT industry.
6. Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders.
7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and take ownership of projects.
8. Ensure that the company and its affiliates remain compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
9. Provide training and guidance to internal staff on legal matters.
10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT law.
