Job Description

Welcome to Taco Bell, where we serve up delicious Mexican-inspired food with a side of fun. We are currently seeking a passionate and energetic individual to join our team as a Shift Lead. As a Shift Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our restaurant runs smoothly and our customers have an exceptional dining experience. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent leadership skills and a love for all things Taco Bell, we want to hear from you!

  1. Oversee daily operations: The Shift Lead will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Train and supervise team members: The Shift Lead will be responsible for training new team members and providing ongoing guidance and support to ensure they are performing their duties correctly. They will also oversee the work of team members and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  3. Ensure quality customer service: The Shift Lead will lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and will also monitor and coach team members to ensure they are providing the same level of service. They will handle any customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards: It is the responsibility of the Shift Lead to ensure that the restaurant is clean and well-maintained at all times, following all health and safety guidelines. They will conduct regular inspections and address any issues immediately.
  5. Create and manage schedules: The Shift Lead will be responsible for creating and managing the weekly schedule for team members, taking into account labor and sales projections and ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  6. Handle cash management: The Shift Lead will be responsible for counting and verifying cash drawers, making bank deposits, and ensuring all cash handling procedures are followed accurately.
  7. Uphold company policies and procedures: The Shift Lead will ensure that all team members are following company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation, dress code, and customer service guidelines.
  8. Collaborate with management: The Shift Lead will work closely with the restaurant management team to communicate any issues or concerns, suggest improvements, and help implement new procedures or initiatives.
  9. Lead by example: The Shift Lead will be a role model for the team, demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for the Taco Bell brand.
  10. Complete other duties as assigned: The Shift Lead may be assigned additional responsibilities by the restaurant manager,

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Leadership Experience: A Shift Lead Should Have Previous Experience In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role, Ideally In The Food Service Industry. This Shows That They Have The Necessary Skills To Lead A Team And Handle Customer Service Situations.

  • Knowledge Of Taco Bell Operations: A Shift Lead Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Taco Bell's Menu, Policies, And Procedures. This Will Allow Them To Effectively Train And Guide Their Team, As Well As Ensure That All Operations Are Running Smoothly During Their Shift.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Shift Lead, One Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Customers, And Higher Management. This Includes Being Able To Give Clear Directions, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Handle Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Taco Bell Is Known For Its Fast-Paced And High-Volume Operations. A Shift Lead Must Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Environment And Handle The Pressure Of Managing A Team And Ensuring Efficient Service During Peak Hours.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: A Shift Lead Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Be Flexible With Their Schedule. This May Include Working Different Shifts, Handling Unexpected Challenges, And Adjusting To New Policies Or Procedures. This Quality Is Crucial For Maintaining Smooth Operations And Providing Excellent Customer Service.
