- Develop and implement deception strategies to protect T-Mobile's networks, systems, and data from cyber threats.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and constantly evaluate and adjust deception techniques to stay ahead of attackers.
- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure the success of projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and legal, to implement and maintain effective cybersecurity measures.
- Conduct regular assessments and tests to identify potential vulnerabilities and proactively address them.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to leverage new technologies and stay abreast of industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough investigations of cybersecurity incidents and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures related to deception techniques and strategies.
- Mentor and train junior team members on cybersecurity principles and deception techniques.
- Communicate and present cybersecurity risks, strategies, and findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to protecting T-Mobile's assets.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement in cybersecurity strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert on deception techniques and represent T-Mobile at industry events and conferences.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behavior in handling sensitive information.
- Take ownership of cybersecurity initiatives and drive them to successful completion within established timelines.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Cybersecurity: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Cybersecurity, Including A Deep Understanding Of Various Security Technologies, Protocols, And Tools. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Current And Emerging Cyber Threats And Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Effective Security Strategies.
Strong Technical Skills: A Principal Cybersecurity Engineer Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Various Programming Languages, Operating Systems, And Networking Concepts. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Maintaining Security Systems And Tools, Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Vulnerability Scanners.
Experience In Deception Technologies: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Implementing And Managing Deception Technologies In A Large-Scale Environment. They Should Be Familiar With Different Types Of Deception Techniques, Such As Honeypots And Decoys, And Have Experience In Using Them To Protect Networks And Systems From Cyber Threats.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Cybersecurity Professionals And Managing Complex Projects. They Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Senior Management.
Certifications And Education: A Candidate For This Role Should Hold Relevant Certifications, Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Ceh, To Demonstrate Their Expertise In Cybersecurity.
