- Provide expert legal guidance and support to the Human Resources team on all employment-related matters, including but not limited to hiring, terminations, discrimination, harassment, and employee benefits.
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and ensure the company's policies and practices are compliant.
- Review and draft employment-related documents, such as employment contracts, severance agreements, and employee handbooks.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide sound recommendations and solutions for complex employment law issues.
- Collaborate with other legal team members and external counsel to ensure consistency and alignment in legal advice and strategies.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and managers on employment law compliance.
- Advise on and assist with investigations into employee complaints and potential legal claims.
- Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures related to employment law.
- Support the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives by providing legal guidance on equal employment opportunity compliance.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings related to employment law matters.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation related to employment law.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Practicing Employment Law In A Corporate Or Law Firm Setting
Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws, Including Title Vii, Ada, Fmla, And Flsa
Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills
Ability To Provide Legal Advice And Guidance To Executives And Hr Professionals On Complex Employment Matters
