Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and committed Textile Researcher to join the Stella McCartney team. This role is essential for the development of our sustainable fashion business as it will involve researching and sourcing the latest sustainable fabrics and materials. As a Textile Researcher, you will be responsible for understanding and applying the Stella McCartney ethos to all fabric and textile sourcing.To be successful in this role, you will need a solid understanding of the fashion industry, a passion for sustainability and an eye for detail. Responsibilities:

  1. Research and source sustainable fabrics and materials to ensure compliance with Stella McCartney's ethos.
  2. Stay up to date on the latest textile trends and be able to apply them creatively.
  3. Utilize research skills to identify potential opportunities and solutions to sustainability issues in the fashion industry.
  4. Develop innovative ideas to source new materials and fabrics to add value to the brand.
  5. Work with suppliers to ensure that all fabrics and materials meet Stella McCartney's sustainability standards.
  6. Analyze and interpret data to evaluate the impact of sustainable materials on the fashion industry.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports of all research and development activities.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all materials and fabric selections meet ethical and environmental standards.
  9. Present findings to stakeholders and work with them to develop strategies to implement solutions.
  10. Monitor industry trends and develop plans to stay ahead of the competition.
