Job Description

At State Street, we are looking for an experienced and talented Vendor Management professional to join our team. The Vendor Management role requires an individual who is organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of all vendors and supplier relationships for the business.The ideal candidate is someone who has a thorough understanding of vendor management best practices and processes. They must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in vendor management in a corporate setting and have a track record of success in creating and maintaining relationships with vendors. The candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of contract and negotiation strategies, as well as the ability to effectively assess and manage vendors’ performance. They must also be able to identify new vendors and develop long-term relationships with them as well as maintain existing vendor relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively are essential for this role.If you are an experienced Vendor Management professional and feel that you have the required qualifications, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  2. Manage all vendor and supplier contracts and negotiations
  3. Monitor and review vendor performance and identify areas of improvement
  4. Identify and evaluate potential new vendors
  5. Ensure adherence to vendor management best practices and processes
  6. Develop long-term relationships with vendors
  7. Resolve any vendor-related issues in a timely manner
  8. Utilize problem-solving skills to develop creative strategies for vendor management
  9. Prepare reports on vendor performance and activities
  10. Maintain up-to-date records of all vendor information and documents
