Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quantitative Risk Manager to join our team at State Street. The ideal candidate for this role is a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who has a passion for managing risk and ensuring we have a well-defined and accurate measurement of our investments. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, quantitative analysis and risk management.The Quantitative Risk Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring risk models and strategies. This role requires a keen understanding of financial products, markets and regulations. The successful candidate will have excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyse complex data. They will also have the organizational and communication skills necessary to ensure that risk management models and strategies are effectively implemented.Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Finance. At least 5 years of experience in a quantitative risk management role is also required, along with a strong working knowledge of financial markets, regulations and products. In addition, the ideal candidate for this position will have a deep knowledge of risk management techniques, models and systems. Certification in Quantitative Risk Management (QRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred but not required.We are eager to find the perfect fit to join our team at State Street. Responsibilities of the Quantitative Risk Manager:

  1. Develop, implement and monitor risk models and strategies.
  2. Interpret and analyze complex data to assess potential risk.
  3. Ensure that risk management models and strategies are effectively implemented.
  4. Monitor financial markets and products to identify potential risk.
  5. Remain up to date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
  6. Provide quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills.
  7. Produce reports and presentations to communicate risk assessment.
  8. Maintain strong communication and organizational skills.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk management strategies are aligned with business objectives.
  10. Provide guidance and training to other team members.
