Job Description

State Street is seeking a creative and experienced Private Credit and BDC Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly-motivated professional with a strong background in private credit and business development companies (BDCs) to join a leading financial services provider.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of private credit and BDC investments, executing transactions, and providing strategic direction and guidance to the Private Credit and BDC team. This position requires an individual who is able to take initiative and think critically when making decisions.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience working with private credit and BDC investments. In addition, you must possess an excellent understanding of the private credit and BDC markets and possess the ability to identify and analyze potential investment opportunities. You must also possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.If you have a passion for private credit investing and have the qualifications and experience necessary to excel in this role, we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a complex portfolio of private credit and BDC investments.
  2. Execute transactions related to private credit and BDC investments.
  3. Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Private Credit and BDC team.
  4. Identify and analyze potential investment opportunities.
  5. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls related to private credit and BDC investments.
  6. Monitor and report on the performance of investments.
  7. Prepare and present presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the private credit and BDC markets.
  9. Provide advice and guidance to the Private Credit and BDC team on investment decisions.
  10. Liaise with external parties such as advisers, brokers, and investors.
