Job Description

State Street is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Market Risk Associate to join our dynamic team. As a Market Risk Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the Market Risk Management team in the development and implementation of risk management programs and practices, and for performing analyses and monitoring the market risk exposure of the firm’s portfolio.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other related field, and at least two years of experience in the financial services industry and/or market risk management. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to develop relationships with various internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement risk management programs and practices.
  2. Monitor the market risk exposure of the firm’s portfolio.
  3. Perform analyses to assess the risks associated with the firm’s investments.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to identify and evaluate market risks.
  5. Analyze financial data and develop strategies to minimize potential losses.
  6. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
  7. Utilize financial modeling software, such as Excel and Access.
  8. Provide advice and guidance to other team members on risk management strategies.
  9. Stay abreast of market changes and regulatory developments.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations for management and board review.
