Legal Counsel, Regulatory Compliance

State Street is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our Regulatory Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of regulatory compliance matters. We’re looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of the legal and regulatory environment, and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex compliance issues.To be successful in this position, you should have a Juris Doctor degree, at least 5 years of experience working in compliance, strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a variety of regulatory compliance matters
• Develop creative solutions to complex compliance issues
• Monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment
• Prepare legal contracts, documents, and other materials
• Represent the organization in legal proceedings
• Negotiate settlements and other agreements
• Participate in dispute resolution proceedings
• Advise management on legal matters
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Keep informed of developments in the legal and regulatory environment
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal risk
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
