- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of State Street's security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Lead a team of SOC analysts in monitoring and responding to potential cyber threats and incidents.
- Implement and maintain security tools and technologies to enhance the capabilities of the SOC.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
- Create and maintain incident response plans and ensure their effectiveness through regular testing and training.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber threats and trends, and proactively make recommendations for security improvements.
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure alignment and consistency in security practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other teams on security-related matters.
- Mentor and develop junior SOC analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Lead incident response activities and participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage of the SOC.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and partners.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of the SOC and any potential risks or incidents.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the SOC and its processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Act as a representative of State Street in industry events and conferences related to cybersecurity.
Extensive Experience In Cyber Security Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In A Security Operations Role, With A Strong Understanding Of Security Tools, Techniques, And Procedures.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Threat Intelligence And Incident Response: The Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Current And Emerging Cyber Threats, As Well As Experience In Responding To Security Incidents And Conducting Forensic Investigations.
Strong Technical Skills: A Lead Soc Analyst Should Have Strong Technical Skills In Areas Such As Network Security, Intrusion Detection And Prevention Systems, And Security Information And Event Management (Siem) Platforms.
Leadership And Team Management Experience: The Individual Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leading And Managing A Team Of Analysts In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment. They Should Also Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Relevant Certifications: A Lead Soc Analyst Should Hold Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa). These Certifications Demonstrate A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Cyber Security.
