Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Derivative Operations Manager to join State Street’s global institutional and investment management team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading operational activities related to derivative instruments and products. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.To be successful in this role, you should have at least five years of experience in a similar role, a bachelor's degree in finance, and knowledge of financial instruments, derivatives, and regulations. You should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, be highly motivated, and have the ability to quickly adapt to changing business environments. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of derivative instruments and products.
  2. Monitor and analyze market trends, regulations, and customer needs to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  3. Oversee the daily operations of the derivatives team, including trade execution and settlement, risk management, and compliance.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  5. Monitor and analyze financial data to assess the performance of derivative instruments and products.
  6. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  7. Train and mentor team members to ensure high-quality work.
  8. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of derivative instruments and products.
  9. Analyze and assess potential new products and services.
  10. Prepare and present reports on the performance of the team and the company’s operations.
