Job Description

State Street is looking for an organized and motivated Corporate Tax Intern to join our team and help us create value through effective tax strategies. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in the tax field and be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is driven, detail-oriented, and eager to learn more about corporate taxes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the financial services industry and gain valuable knowledge about the tax compliance process.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively• Self-motivated and able to adhere to deadlines

Responsibilities: • Conduct research on various tax regulations and create reports on findings • Assist in preparing and filing corporate tax returns • Analyze financial data for accuracy and potential tax savings • Liaise with clients to answer questions and provide guidance on tax compliance • Collaborate with the tax team to develop efficient processes for tax filing and reporting • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and provide updates to the team • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other documents related to taxation • Prepare and submit tax payments and returns on time • Identify and address potential tax liabilities and recommend strategies for reducing them
