  1. Monitor and assess the quality of water sources throughout the state of Virginia.

  3. Conduct regular water quality testing and analysis using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  4. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to develop and implement water quality improvement plans.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of water quality data and reports.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current regulations and laws related to water quality management and ensure compliance.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues, government agencies, and the public regarding water quality issues and solutions.

  9. Develop and implement educational programs to raise awareness and promote responsible water usage and conservation.
  10. Participate in and lead community outreach and engagement initiatives to promote the importance of water quality.
  11. Stay informed about emerging technologies and advancements in water quality management and make recommendations for their implementation.
  12. Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to coordinate and support water quality initiatives and projects.
  13. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while conducting water quality activities.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to environmental conservation and promote sustainable practices in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Water Quality Monitoring And Analysis.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Water Quality, Including The Clean Water Act And Safe Drinking Water Act.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Communicate Complex Data.

  • Experience With Gis Mapping And Database Management Software.
