Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Vocational Aide to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals as you assist them in developing the necessary skills for successful employment. As a Vocational Aide, you will work closely with our vocational counselors to provide support and guidance to individuals in vocational training programs.   1. Assist individuals in vocational training programs by providing support and guidance.
  2. Collaborate with vocational counselors to develop and implement individualized training plans.
  3. Conduct assessments to determine individuals' vocational strengths and needs.
  4. Create and maintain a positive and welcoming environment for individuals in the program.
  5. Provide practical hands-on support and instruction to individuals in developing vocational skills.
  6. Monitor and track individuals' progress in the program.
  7. Address any challenges or barriers individuals may face in their vocational training.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of individuals' progress and participation in the program.
  9. Communicate regularly with individuals' families, employers, and other support systems to ensure their success.
  10. Participate in team meetings and provide input on program development and improvement.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to vocational training programs.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and improve the program and services offered.
  13. Uphold the values of education and providing opportunities for individuals to develop their vocational skills.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Vocational Aide Position In The State Of Virginia.

  • Experience Working With Individuals With Disabilities: Candidates Should Have Experience Working With Individuals With Disabilities, As Vocational Aides Often Provide Support And Assistance To Individuals With Disabilities In Vocational Training Programs.

  • Knowledge Of Vocational Training Programs: Applicants Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Vocational Training Programs, Including Knowledge Of Different Vocational Skills And Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As Vocational Aides Work Closely With Individuals, Families, And Vocational Training Program Staff, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills Are Necessary For Vocational Aides To Assist With Creating And Maintaining Training Plans, Tracking Progress, And Completing Necessary Documentation.
