  1. Conduct thorough investigations into child support cases by gathering and analyzing financial information from various sources.
  2. Communicate effectively with families, attorneys, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  4. Utilize knowledge of child support laws and regulations to ensure the timely and proper enforcement of child support orders.
  5. Collaborate with other agencies and departments to coordinate services and resources for families in need of support.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to locate non-custodial parents and enforce child support orders.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to families and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns.
  8. Advocate for the best interests of children and families by representing the state in court and administrative hearings.
  9. Stay informed of changes in child support laws and regulations and attend trainings and workshops to maintain knowledge and skills.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with families and colleagues.
  11. Meet performance standards and goals set by the state and contribute to the overall success of the support enforcement program.
  12. Act as a resource and mentor to other support enforcement staff and assist with training and development as needed.
  13. Participate in meetings and committees to review and improve processes and procedures related to child support enforcement.
  14. Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times, promoting a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the support enforcement program to better serve families and communities in Virginia.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Criminal Justice, Or A Related Field.

  • Experience Working In A Child Support Enforcement Program Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Child Support Enforcement.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Clients, Attorneys, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Databases Used For Child Support Enforcement, Such As The Virginia Case Registry And Child Support Enforcement Network.
