  1. Develop and implement budget plans for the state government, taking into consideration financial goals and objectives.
  2. Provide strategic recommendations and insights to support the state's financial decision-making processes.
  3. Conduct detailed analyses of state financial data, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  5. Prepare and present budget reports and presentations to senior management and government officials.
  6. Monitor and track expenditures to ensure compliance with budget plans and identify any potential variances.
  7. Conduct research and stay updated on industry developments and best practices in state government finance.
  8. Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and forecasts.
  9. Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation.
  10. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve financial goals.
  11. Train and mentor junior analysts on budgeting and financial analysis processes.
  12. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and policies related to budget planning and analysis.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of all budget plans and financial data.
  14. Continuously assess and improve budgeting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on state government finance for the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Business Administration Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Planning And Budgeting, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Interpret Data And Make Sound Recommendations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Present Complex Financial Information To Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Monitoring Budgets, Forecasting Financial Trends, And Identifying Areas For Cost Savings And Efficiency Improvements.
