
Section Manager Facilities (Lynchburg District)

- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all facilities within the Lynchburg district, including government buildings, parks, and other public spaces.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources in maintaining and improving facilities.
- Manage a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Create and maintain a budget for facility maintenance and repair expenses.
- Collaborate with other departments and external vendors to coordinate and oversee facility improvement projects.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment for facility maintenance and repair.
- Respond to and resolve any facility-related issues or emergencies in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes related to facilities management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facilities management to continuously improve operations.
- Represent the state of Virginia in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with citizens, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with upper management and provide regular reports on facility operations and maintenance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all facilities staff.

Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Facilities Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Including Supervisory Or Managerial Experience.
Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Industry Best Practices In Facilities Management.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team.
Familiarity With Budgeting, Procurement, And Contract Management Processes.
