
Probation Officer: P&P District

- Conduct initial intake interviews with individuals placed on probation, gathering information about their background, criminal history, and current situation
- Develop and implement individualized supervision plans for each probationer, taking into account their specific needs and risks
- Monitor and track probationers' compliance with court-ordered conditions, such as drug testing, community service, and restitution
- Conduct regular home visits and meet with probationers in the community to ensure compliance and provide support and guidance
- Collaborate with community resources and service providers to connect probationers with necessary resources, such as housing, employment, and treatment programs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, including progress reports and documentation of any violations or concerns
- Prepare and present reports to the court on the progress and compliance of probationers
- Work closely with law enforcement, court personnel, and other criminal justice agencies to coordinate efforts and ensure public safety
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary, including responding to emergency situations outside of regular work hours
- Attend trainings and stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to probation and rehabilitation efforts.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of One Year Of Experience Working In A Criminal Justice Setting Or With At-Risk Populations.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Probation And Parole.
Ability To Communicate Effectively And Professionally With Clients, Colleagues, And Other Stakeholders.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills To Effectively Manage A Caseload And Meet Deadlines.
