- Collaborate with other nursing faculty to develop and update curriculum and course materials.
- Participate in the evaluation and assessment of student performance.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students.

- Stay current with advancements and changes in the nursing profession and incorporate them into teaching.
- Build relationships with healthcare facilities and agencies to facilitate clinical experiences for students.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Nursing Clinical Instructor For An Associate Degree Nursing Program At State Of Virginia Must Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Instructor Has A Strong Foundation In The Nursing Field And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Teach Nursing Courses.
Active Rn License In The State Of Virginia: To Be Eligible For This Position, The Candidate Must Hold An Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Virginia. This Ensures That The Instructor Is Up-To-Date With The State's Nursing Regulations And Can Provide Accurate Information To Students.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Will Ensure That The Instructor Has Practical Knowledge And Skills That Can Be Shared With Students To Prepare Them For The Realities Of The Nursing Profession.
Teaching Or Preceptorship Experience: Previous Experience In Teaching Or Precepting Nursing Students Is Highly Desirable For This Position. It Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Effectively Communicate And Educate Students In A Clinical Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Nursing Clinical Instructor. The Candidate Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Students, Colleagues, And Healthcare Professionals. Additionally, The Instructor Should Be Approachable And Able To Establish A Positive Rapport With Students To Create A Conducive Learning Environment.
