The State of Virginia is seeking a HR Coordinator Sr., Team Lead to join our dynamic team and lead our talent acquisition efforts for our Corrections Officer positions. As the HR Coordinator Sr., Team Lead, you will play a critical role in recruiting and hiring top talent to support our state's correctional facilities.   1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for the Corrections Officer positions.
  2. Utilize various recruitment methods, such as job boards, social media, and networking events, to source candidates.
  3. Conduct thorough and efficient screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications and fit for the positions.
  4. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on best practices for hiring.
  5. Manage the entire hiring process, including job postings, applicant tracking, background checks, and onboarding.
  6. Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations during the hiring process.
  7. Serve as a point of contact for candidates, providing them with a positive and professional experience throughout the hiring process.
  8. Train and mentor junior HR staff members on recruitment and hiring processes.
  9. Analyze recruitment data and provide reports to upper management on hiring metrics and progress.
  10. Continuously review and improve the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent for the state's correctional facilities.
  11. Represent the state of Virginia at job fairs and other recruitment events.
  12. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition to make recommendations for process improvements.
  13. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  14. Work collaboratively with other HR team members to ensure seamless integration of new hires into their respective departments.
  15. Provide regular updates to management on recruitment activities and progress towards hiring goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Human Resources, With A Focus On Talent Acquisition And Recruitment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Understanding Of The Recruiting Process For Corrections Officers, Including Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations.

  • Experience Leading A Team Of Hr Coordinators Or Recruiters In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Hiring Managers And Candidates.
