- Develop and manage budgets and resources for the environmental services department.

- Provide guidance and advice to government officials on environmental matters.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local and national environmental organizations.
- Represent the state of Virginia at conferences, meetings, and other events related to environmental issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise public awareness and educate the community on environmental issues.
- Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of environmental data to relevant government agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and initiatives.
- Stay informed on legislative and regulatory changes related to the environment and provide recommendations for compliance.
- Foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the state government and among citizens.
- Address and resolve any environmental issues or complaints that arise.

Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Managing Environmental Programs And Projects.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Regulations And Laws.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Oversee A Team And Delegate Tasks.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Find Solutions To Complex Environmental Issues.
