- Perform daily custodial duties, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure that all state facilities are clean, safe, and in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report any shortages or malfunctions.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs for equipment or facilities.
- Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up after events or meetings held in state facilities.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with coworkers, visitors, and other team members.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve and optimize custodial processes and procedures.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Custodian Job At State Of Virginia Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Understanding Of Reading, Writing, And Mathematics.
