As a Lieutenant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and order within our correctional facilities, while also providing guidance and support to our team of dedicated officers.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of our correctional facility, ensuring the safety and security of both staff and inmates.
  2. Provide leadership and direction to a team of correctional officers, setting a positive example and promoting a culture of professionalism and excellence.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage inmate behavior and maintain order within the facility.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and secure environment.
  6. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
  7. Serve as a liaison between the facility and external stakeholders, such as state officials, community organizations, and family members of inmates.
  8. Investigate and respond to incidents and complaints within the facility, taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
  9. Maintain accurate records and reports regarding the facility's operations, including inmate population, incidents, and staffing.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to facility operations.
  11. Uphold the values of fairness, integrity, and respect in all interactions with staff, inmates, and external stakeholders.
  12. Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to corrections and law enforcement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Corrections Or Law Enforcement Role, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Capacity.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Corrections Laws, Policies, And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team.

  • Strong Decision-Making And Problem-Solving Abilities, With A Focus On Maintaining Safety And Security Within A Corrections Facility.
