- Procure Pharmaceutical Products: The primary responsibility of the Buyer will be to procure pharmaceutical products and supplies for state-run healthcare facilities in Virginia. This includes researching suppliers, negotiating contracts, and placing orders in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure Timely Delivery: The Buyer will be responsible for ensuring that all pharmaceutical products and supplies are delivered to the healthcare facilities on time. This requires close coordination with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure prompt and efficient delivery.
- Monitor Inventory Levels: The Buyer will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that there is an adequate supply of pharmaceutical products and supplies at all times. This will involve forecasting demand, tracking usage, and placing orders accordingly.

- Communicate with Internal Teams: The Buyer will be responsible for communicating with various internal teams, including healthcare facility staff, finance, and logistics, to gather information, provide updates, and resolve any issues related to procurement.
- Ensure Compliance: The Buyer will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement processes comply with state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field
Active Pharmacist License In The State Of Virginia
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Buyer In A Pharmacy Setting
Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceutical Purchasing And Inventory Management Processes
Experience Working With State And Federal Regulations Related To Pharmacy Purchasing And Procurement.
