
Building and Grounds Supervisor

- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all state-owned buildings and outdoor spaces.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all facilities and grounds.
- Ensure that all buildings and grounds meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Manage a team of groundskeepers and custodial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and prioritize maintenance and repair projects.
- Monitor and manage the budget for building and grounds maintenance and supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify any potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as inclement weather, to ensure the safety and functionality of buildings and grounds.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, as well as inventory and supply levels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for outsourced services.
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders regarding building and grounds-related issues.
- Continuously evaluate and make recommendations for improvements to building and grounds management processes and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies related to building and grounds maintenance.
- Uphold the standards and values of the state in all aspects of building and grounds management.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role Within The Building And Grounds Maintenance Field.
Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or Related Field Preferred.
Strong Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Maintenance Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Interact With Other Departments And Stakeholders.
Proficiency In Computer Software Systems, Such As Microsoft Office And Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Cmms).
