- Review and assess eligibility for various benefit programs, including but not limited to SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and energy assistance programs.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with applicants to gather information and determine their needs.
- Verify and validate documentation provided by applicants to ensure accuracy and eligibility.
- Utilize databases and systems to accurately determine eligibility and benefits.
- Provide accurate and thorough information to clients regarding benefit programs, regulations, and application processes.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in benefit programs and regulations to ensure accurate and timely assistance to clients.
- Assist with outreach efforts to inform and educate the community about available benefit programs and services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, eligibility determinations, and benefit distributions.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and report potential cases of fraud or abuse in benefit programs.
- Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to benefit programs.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Human Services, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Benefit Programs, Including Eligibility Requirements And Application Processes.
Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Providing Customer Service In A Professional Setting.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Policies And Regulations.
Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Communicate With Clients And Stakeholders.
