Job Description

  1. Review and assess eligibility for various benefit programs, including but not limited to SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and energy assistance programs.
  2. Conduct in-depth interviews with applicants to gather information and determine their needs.
  3. Verify and validate documentation provided by applicants to ensure accuracy and eligibility.
  4. Utilize databases and systems to accurately determine eligibility and benefits.
  5. Provide accurate and thorough information to clients regarding benefit programs, regulations, and application processes.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in benefit programs and regulations to ensure accurate and timely assistance to clients.
  8. Assist with outreach efforts to inform and educate the community about available benefit programs and services.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, eligibility determinations, and benefit distributions.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Identify and report potential cases of fraud or abuse in benefit programs.
  12. Participate in trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to benefit programs.
  14. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Human Services, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Benefit Programs, Including Eligibility Requirements And Application Processes.

  • Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Providing Customer Service In A Professional Setting.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Policies And Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Communicate With Clients And Stakeholders.
