As the Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and inclusive living environment for our students.   1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence life department and ensure a high-quality living experience for students.
  2. Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote a sense of community and inclusivity within the residence halls.
  3. Serve as a resource and support for students, providing guidance and assistance with any concerns or issues they may have.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and campus partners to plan and execute events and activities that enhance the overall residential experience.
  5. Hire, train, and supervise residence life staff, including resident assistants and graduate assistants.
  6. Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to staff to ensure they are meeting the needs of students and upholding departmental standards.
  7. Manage the residence life budget and make strategic decisions to allocate resources effectively.
  8. Work closely with the Director of Residence Life to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and comfortable living environment for students.
  9. Communicate regularly with students, staff, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and make improvements to the residence life program.
  10. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in the field of residential life and make recommendations for improvements and innovations within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Higher Education, Student Affairs, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Residence Life Or A Closely Related Field, With A Proven Track Record Of Successful Leadership And Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Student Development Theories And Experience In Implementing Programs And Initiatives To Support Student Success And Retention.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders, Including Students, Faculty, And Staff.

  • Familiarity With State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Student Housing, As Well As Experience With Budget Management And Strategic Planning.
