- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including employers, training providers, and government agencies, to identify workforce needs and develop solutions to address them.
- Conduct research and analysis to assess the effectiveness of current workforce development programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement workforce development programs, including training and education initiatives, to improve the skills and employability of Utah's workforce.
- Identify and connect job seekers with employment opportunities through job fairs, career counseling, and other outreach efforts.
- Monitor and track program outcomes and provide regular reports to management and stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in workforce development to continually improve programs and services.
- Collaborate with other workforce development specialists and team members to share resources and best practices.
- Build relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and other partners to enhance the reach and impact of workforce development efforts.
- Serve as a resource and advisor to employers regarding workforce development strategies and programs.
- Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions to educate various audiences on workforce development principles and practices.
- Assist in the development of workforce development budgets and manage program resources effectively.
- Promote workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure equal access and opportunities for all individuals.
- Act as a liaison between the state government and local businesses to identify and address workforce needs and challenges.
- Communicate and collaborate with other state agencies and departments to align workforce development efforts with broader state goals and initiatives.
- Continually evaluate and improve processes and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of workforce development programs.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Workforce Development Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Workforce Development Programs And Policies.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Workforce Development Strategies.
