
Veteran Employment Specialist

- Conduct outreach and establish relationships with local businesses and organizations to identify employment opportunities for veterans
- Provide career counseling and support services to veterans, including resume building, job search assistance, and interview preparation
- Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions to connect veterans with training and education programs
- Stay up-to-date on current veteran employment issues, laws, and resources to effectively support and advocate for veterans
- Develop and implement strategies to address barriers to employment for veterans, such as disabilities or mental health issues
- Utilize data and metrics to track the progress and success of veteran employment initiatives and programs
- Serve as a liaison between employers and veterans to promote understanding and address any concerns or challenges
- Organize and facilitate job fairs, workshops, and other events to promote veteran employment and connect veterans with potential employers
- Create and maintain accurate records and documentation of veteran interactions and services provided
- Advocate for and promote veteran employment opportunities within the community and across various platforms.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Providing Employment Services To Veterans And Their Families.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Veteran Employment And Workforce Development Programs.
Strong Understanding Of Military Culture And The Unique Needs And Challenges Faced By Veterans In The Workforce.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Various Stakeholders Including Veterans, Employers, And Community Organizations.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Social Work, Human Resources, Or Counseling.
