
Seasonal Groundskeeper

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of assigned areas, including state parks, buildings, and facilities.
- Perform various groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering to keep landscapes well-maintained.
- Assist in the planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and other plants.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols are followed.
- Report any issues or concerns with the grounds to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and grass.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures while working on the grounds.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to groundskeeping.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Follow environmentally-friendly practices in all groundskeeping activities.
- Foster a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and park visitors.
- Adhere to all state regulations and guidelines while performing groundskeeping duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Seasonal Groundskeeper Position.
Previous Groundskeeping Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In Groundskeeping Or Landscaping, Preferably In A Seasonal Or Outdoor Setting.
Physical Fitness And Ability: This Job Requires Physical Labor, So Candidates Must Be Able To Perform Tasks Such As Lifting Heavy Objects, Standing For Extended Periods Of Time, And Working Outdoors In Various Weather Conditions.
Knowledge Of Equipment And Tools: A Seasonal Groundskeeper Should Have Experience Operating And Maintaining Various Groundskeeping Equipment And Tools, Such As Lawn Mowers, Trimmers, And Leaf Blowers.
Attention To Detail: Groundskeepers Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That The Grounds Are Well-Maintained And Aesthetically Pleasing. This Includes Tasks Such As Mowing, Edging, And Weeding.
