- Coordinate and manage all utility and railroad activities within the assigned region.
- Ensure compliance with all utility and railroad regulations and procedures.
- Work closely with project managers to identify potential utility and railroad conflicts and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as utility companies and railroad companies, to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor utility and railroad activities and ensure they are being conducted safely and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of utility and railroad activities, including permits, agreements, and payments.
- Communicate project updates and potential delays to stakeholders and project managers in a timely manner.
- Review and approve utility and railroad plans and designs to ensure they meet department standards and specifications.
- Work with internal and external teams to develop and implement strategies for mitigating utility and railroad conflicts.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses related to utility and railroad activities and provide regular updates to project managers.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to utility and railroad coordination and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on utility and railroad coordination procedures.
- Participate in meetings and workshops related to utility and railroad coordination, providing valuable input and representing the department's interests.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the department.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Utility And Railroad Coordination, Preferably In A Government Agency Or Transportation Industry.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Utility And Railroad Coordination, Including But Not Limited To Fra, Fta, And Fhwa.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Utility Companies, Railroad Operators, And Government Officials.
Experience In Project Management, Including The Ability To Develop And Implement Plans, Monitor Progress, And Manage Budgets And Resources.
