
Region Survey Manager

- Oversee and manage all surveying activities within the designated region.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all survey data collected.
- Develop and implement surveying strategies and procedures for the region.
- Train and mentor surveying staff to ensure high-quality work and adherence to standards.
- Conduct regular quality control checks on survey data and reports.
- Maintain updated knowledge of surveying technologies and techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate surveying projects.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Communicate with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Identify and resolve any surveying issues or discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports and presentations on surveying activities and results.
- Manage and maintain surveying equipment and tools.
- Lead and motivate surveying team members to achieve department goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to surveying staff.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Act as a liaison between the department and external surveying contractors.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in surveying technology.
- Uphold the values and mission of the State of Utah's Department of Natural Resources.
Bachelor's Degree In Surveying, Civil Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Land Surveying, Including 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Management Role.
Professional Land Surveyor (Pls) License In The State Of Utah.
Extensive Knowledge Of Surveying Principles, Techniques, And Equipment.
Excellent Communication, Leadership, And Project Management Skills.
