1. Provide leadership and support to the psychiatric technicians in the unit, ensuring a positive and cohesive team dynamic.
2. Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the unit, including patient care and treatment plans.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
4. Monitor and assess patients' mental health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff.
5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatments.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, promoting a compassionate and supportive environment.
8. Ensure the safety and security of patients and staff at all times.
9. Provide education and training to new staff members and assist in their orientation to the unit.
10. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
11. Stay updated on current best practices and standards in mental health care.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
13. Foster a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusivity within the unit.
