- Provide supervision and guidance to individuals transitioning back into the community after being on probation.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with court-ordered conditions of probation.
- Conduct regular meetings with probationers to assess progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help probationers successfully reintegrate into society.
- Collaborate with community resources and treatment providers to provide support and resources for probationers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of probationer progress and interactions.
- Communicate regularly with court personnel and other stakeholders to provide updates and recommendations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans to ensure the well-being of both the probationer and the community.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations with a calm and professional demeanor.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to probation and community supervision.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for probationers, promoting personal growth and positive decision-making.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with probationers and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust strategies and interventions to best support the needs and goals of probationers.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In The Criminal Justice System, Preferably As A Probation Officer.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Probation And Parole.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
Ability To Pass A Background Check And Obtain Required Certifications And Licenses.
