
Pre Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Instructor
Welcome to the State of Utah! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Pre Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Instructor. As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with disabilities prepare for their future careers through our comprehensive Pre-ETS program. - Facilitate Pre-ETS program sessions and workshops for individuals with disabilities, including career exploration, job shadowing, workplace readiness, and self-advocacy skills.
- Collaborate with other members of the Pre-ETS team to develop and implement effective curriculum and materials.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to participants, helping them identify their career goals and create action plans to achieve them.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to track participant progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of participant attendance, progress, and outcomes.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for participants, connecting them with community resources and services as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and employers to create job opportunities for participants.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in workforce and disability services to continually improve the Pre-ETS program.
- Collaborate with schools, vocational rehabilitation services, and other agencies to coordinate services and support for participants.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all participants, promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Represent the State of Utah and the Pre-ETS program at meetings, events, and conferences.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations regarding disability services and employment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and knowledge.
- Work closely with the Pre-ETS team to identify areas for program improvement and provide input for future program development.
- Uphold the values and mission of the State of Utah and the Pre-ETS program in all interactions and responsibilities.
Bachelor's Degree In Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working With Individuals With Disabilities, Preferably In A Vocational Or Transition Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Vocational Rehabilitation And Transition Services.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Diverse Populations, Including Individuals With Disabilities, Families, And Community Partners.
Ability To Develop And Implement Individualized Plans And Curriculum To Meet The Unique Needs Of Each Student.
