- Provide compassionate and skilled healthcare services to incarcerated individuals in a correctional setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and other health indicators.
- Assist with medical procedures and examinations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Educate patients on health and wellness topics.
- Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Attend training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing quality healthcare and promoting positive patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Act with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to ensure continuity of care for patients upon release.
- Show empathy and understanding towards patients who may be dealing with mental health issues and/or substance abuse.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall functioning of the healthcare team.
- Display a positive and caring attitude towards patients, coworkers, and other team members.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credentials.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Clinical Or Correctional Setting.
Knowledge Of Correctional Health Care Policies And Procedures, Including Medication Administration And Security Protocols.
Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems And Ability To Accurately Record Patient Information.
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team In A Fast-Paced Environment.
